War memorial, this is residue of Lockheed Hudson Aircraft's propeller/fan.
In opening battle of the war in early hours of Monday 8th Dec 1941, Lockheed Hudson Aircraft and crews of the Royal Australian Air Force operated against the Japanese seaborne invasion force. During the engagement all aircrew personnel died at Kota Bahru and therefore this memorial were established to recognize their hero action.

last weekend night we managed to set up an outing held around Keningau town. first suggestion subject was 'tokong cina' at town centre. however it shift to other subject after the crew found modelling with CLS effect was our lesson tonight. it involved are 3 speedlights of Sony and Nikon but mine the battery sink out and makes me frusted. So there are only 2 speedlight we are going to use. Since each of its a difference brand and the crew working are 6 persons so we decided to use vocal timing...1,2..and 3.

for EA..fyi i'm here.back few week i'm quite busy and back few days ago my connection goes worst adding the error to access blogger's site. i'm sick of those sentences.

Actually i was trying to find subject that can be my trial to HDR. I found this pic in my stock which taken during end year holiday 2008. This building is a among earliest structure constructed in Kuala Lumpur and maybe it existence before Merdeka. Side by side to this building are modern buildings as tall as 4 0r 6 times than this building.

Dragon are traditionally related with Chinese community. I was amazed with this shoot which using 'Bulb' method with particular ISO, shuttle release and WB. Actually during the shooting the sphere was light rain and windy but there was no rain marks or trails on this pic.

Since today are Chinese New Year and government of Malaysia kindly declared public holiday for 2 days. From observation there are many Chinese owned premise were close to give a chance themselves to catch heat of celebration in colourful festive.

We (I and wife) takes this opportunity to do housekeeping and install Save Energy Bulb in our room. In afternoon Mr Sheikhayat give a call and proposed me to go outing to catch CNY night mode.

Mahua: Sabah's lost world

Actually there are a lot of photo stock mine with this D80. Here i want to share a snap with mahua waterfall panoramic. This snap taken on a bridge crossing the river heading to picnic spot. On that day my toy was tested with severe condition (i mean taken photo with high humidity and mist all around) and also my filter lens a few times must get wipes out. I thought i'll put my next wish to have water resistence cover which cost around RM200-300.

FYI this particular photo was edited using Photoshop CS3 with Topaz Labs plugin. Any comment from your guy are welcome.

This snap was taken during our colleague, Mrs Haryanti wed's ceremony. She already hire a so-called professional photographer that comes along from Kota Bahru approximately 100km from here ( person in yellow shirt). Others that are our friend also so-called pro snapper. Actually the residence was taken shoot a posing of the bride and groom with flourecense green background, once he set the couple with desired pose without any delay we take an opportunity to shoot it.

On 1st December 2008 we formed a convoy of 3 cars to attend our colleague Haryanti Bt Hamzah's wed ceremony held at Felda Chiku, Gua Musang. My wife and I drove away from Tg Malim and 2 more group consist of Mr Fairuz n family and other car drove by Mr Sheikh with Ms Siti n Sisters. They are from Taiping. We met at Simpang Pulai before proceed to Gua Musang town to fetch Mr Azmi which takes a bus from KL. Mr Hafizi, Mr Radhi n Mr Moksin made their journey from Kota Bahru. I managed to shoot a few photo of this couple. Thanks to their residence photographer for being sporting and polite although sometimes 'we' being naughty.heeee.

BTW congratulation to this belated Bride n Groom.

I'm back. Firstly thanks to Mr Hafizi allowed me to use his laptop n internet connection. FYI i'm trying very very few times to update this particular blog but facing difficulty to upload picture. Mr Fairuz, Mr Mazlan n Mr Sazali also faces it. It comes from our broadband connection.

My frenz said it not necessary to put picture and just publish a statement. BTW thank you for the advice. Actually this blog i'm dedicate to my interest in photography, without it i feel dull and nothing.

Here i'm post first snap on my 'new' toy-Nikon D80. Actually this pricey toy purchased during our Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday (26th September) at Pertama Complex. Very very thanks to my beloved wife n family that gives me a strong encouragement and support me to go more deep into this photography field. And Tq to my brother, Apit and sales representative Miss Jessy for helping me up.

FYI its paradigm shifting new era on this particular blog.

We managed to visit several schools (not official visit only passing by) among its Sekolah Rendah Raja Isteri Fatimah. Most of the school in Brunei equipped by full air-cond environment. I guess it creates a conducive in learning and teaching, besides eliminate a noise disturbance. In that sense male teacher can always gear with neck tie and not necessary to fold the sleeve. If I could i'll suggest our Ministry of Education to equips particular space and room with air-cond.

Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque

As mentioned in previous post there are two mosques with golden dome; Masjid Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah and Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. This mosque was inaugurated on 1958 and its name in conjunction with 28th Sultan of Brunei at that time. During this shoot the weather was very fine and hot. We parked the car at Jalan Kianggeh and walked towards Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah building visited several tenants before we concurrent with Brunei's national television presenter which we had watched her morning programme. From there we walked under naked hot sun goes to Omar Ali Saifuddin mosque.

Besides visiting places, it is a must to try their unique and niche meal. One of Brunei's rather unique food is the Nasi Katok. The food itself is not unique, normally it is just rice with a hot spicy sambal (gravy), a small piece of chicken or beef and a small piece of fried egg wrapped in a paper wrapper. The price tag usually a dollar (B$ 1) and it consider a budget meal but for Malaysian travelling here it costs around RM2.4o. However some stalls provides variations of 'lauk' (dishes) to be choosen and of course we need to top up some penny to get those variety.

Nasi Katok, Jalan Jerudong

From the folk and stall owner that we have been asked about originality of name "Nasi Katok". Roughly from our understanding the name “Nasi Katok” derived from this family who lived in Ong Sum Ping who sell these so-called nasi bungkus meal only at night. Since they only serve the meal according to demands and who wanted to buy it has knock their door and asking for the meal. Translating the word “katok”, is knock. So that why "Nasi Katok" get its name from.

Masjid Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah was inaugurated on 14 July 1994 by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, coincides with the anniversary of his to-48. This mosque is the expression of love in religion, thank Allah, the spirit of religion to maintain and adapt, high in Islamic art.
The most attraction of this mosque on its 29 dome shine with gold-plated that tempt every eye seing it. Other that every corner face of this mosque adapt arabic architecture dominated with biege color jewerly style arab ornament. For acknowlegdement there are 6 golden dome mosque in the world. 2 of its located in Brunei includes Masjid Jame' asr Hassanil Bolkiah and Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin.
